What Do You Want?
If you are going to make a presentation then surely the question you must ask yourself is “What do I want this audience to do now that they have heard my presentation?” Is it to buy your product? To engage your services? To change the way they work or live? Is it simply that you want them to have a good or better understanding of where your project is up to and or how the finances are tracking?
Once you know the answer to this question, and let’s face it, it’s not a complicated question, then you have the Conclusion to your presentation! For example:
“Ladies and Gentlemen, in conclusion I am asking you to buy my widget”.
Of course you can put a little more zing into it if you wish as demonstrated below but nonetheless the conclusion should really answer the initial question we posed at the start, ‘What Do I Want?’
“Ladies and Gentlemen, in conclusion what I am asking you to consider is to make sure you do yourself a favour, make your life easier, save time and money and invest in my widget. It will be the best decision you make this year.”
