Confidence
No matter what your resolution is (or was), if you have confidence then you have the foundation to achieve your goal. A lack of confidence is an extremely limiting factor – but I’m guessing you already know that. I’m not immune to it and I suspect nor are you. So how do we increase confidence? Here are some ideas you might find helpful:
1) Say your affirmations. Every day tell yourself “I am Confident”. The subconscious brain doesn’t judge you, it simply runs programmes. So rewrite the programme. Tell yourself every day “I am Confident”. You don’t have to believe in it, just do it.
2) Say ‘Yes’. Say ‘Yes’ more often. Stop saying ‘No’ to every idea and opportunity that crosses your path. We are all preprogrammed with the word ‘No’, it’s part of our self defense mechanism. Challenge yourself so that every day you say ‘Yes’ at least once when you might normally say ‘No’. You’ll be delighted to see how many more opportunities are out there waiting for you and your confidence!
3) Take on a BHAG. A Big Hairy Audacious Goal. Give yourself a challenge, something that you never thought was possible, something bigger than Ben Hur and see where it takes you. You will be amazed with how this world of ours makes room for someone who has something specific to do. I can’t explain it, it’s just the way of the world. For a lot of people… standing up and making a presentation is verging on the impossible. Perhaps that should be, could be, your BHAG. If it is, then let me help.
Confidence. With it, you can do anything. So get confidence.
